September 11th

It was a day very much like today; blue skies, crisp clear air, puffy white clouds; lovely in its ordinary beauty.

I appreciate the proverb, perhaps found on an Irish headstone, which New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg quoted today:

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;
love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Peace...

Even all the way over here, on this day we remember that terrible event. The day the world stopped and held its breath. Those images are etched in my memory forever and I still get a major lump in my throat every time I think about those people who died and the loved ones left behind.

It was truly a terribly sad and shocking event. The whole world still bears the scares.... Hugs, xx

Hi Ronnie and Lailaa -
It doesn't seem possible that it happened seven years ago. It still feels so sharp and raw.

We will never forget and will always be grateful for, the tremendous outpouring of care, concern and love which came our way from every corner of the world.
Thank you...
