Ten Questions Times Two

At the end of each interview James Lipton conducts on the television show Inside The Actors Studio, he asks his guest a series of questions. These ten questions originated with French journalist Bernard Pivot. I think it’s probably the original meme!

So in honor of my 200th post, I first posed them to Chuck:

What is your favorite word?
Love
What is your least favorite word?
Sweat
What turns you on (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)?
Competence
What turns you off?
Arrogance & Incompetence
What sound or noise do you love?
Lee’s laughter
What sound or noise do you hate?
The sound of a bone being crunched
What is your favorite curse word?
Sh*t
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Cabinetmaker
What profession would you not like to do?
Surgeon
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
You done good!

Then I answered them:

What is your favorite word?
Love
What is your least favorite word?
Obnoxious
What turns you on (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)?
The Ocean
What turns you off?
Cruelty
What sound or noise do you love?
Laughter
What sound or noise do you hate?
Buzzing alarm clocks
What is your favorite curse word?
Single word: F*ck - String of words: Too many to type here!
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Singer
What profession would you not like to do?
Accountant
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
Welcome! You were right. Your family and friends are right over there.

: : How would you answer them?

Hi Ronnie -
No waiting period is required! Feel free to post it whenever you like. I look forward to reading your responses!

As for our favorite curse word, there is just something about that final hard "k" that seems to do the trick!

I may email you my meme, however I think the best swear word is also the worst, and I honestly think it has the right amount of venon and passion when spoken with an accent from the North of England (like mine)

To spare anyones blushes, it's See You Next Tuesday....

Hi Roo -
I look forward to reading your answers to the ten questions!

As for what you classify as the best/worst swear word, I have to admit, I had no idea that promising to get together on the following Tuesday was cursing! ;o)
I honestly had to ask Chuck - but he had the advantage of listening vs. reading, LOL!
I agree it is the worst curse word. I use it very rarely and only in front of Chuck. When he hears me use it, he knows I find the woman I have directed it toward to be absolutely, positively evil.

The whole concept of "swear words" is so complex and interesting. The discussion naturally makes me think of George Carlin and his "Seven Dirty Words" monologue!

P.S. Blogger needs an easy audio feature so I can hear that accent!
