Milford Pink

Jeff found an interesting newspaper article and companion video about the pink granite quarried in Milford, Massachusetts. The granite was used in the construction of the Worcester City Hall, the Boston Public Library, New York City’s Pennsylvania Station, the foundation steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. - and more! You can read and view more by clicking here.

oooh you have a rock named after you, how cool. I do too it's called Morganite, and one day I shall have a beautiful ring with a morganite stone. You should arrange for a pink granite one, I'm sure it would be beautiful polished up ;)

Hi DMM -
What a brilliant suggestion! I have several big pink granite rocks, but never thought of having a small piece polished up and mounted. Or to take a page from Lee Spiller, made into a pendant!
Thanks so much!

P.S. I looked up your Morganite. It's beautiful! With an interesting history to boot.
