In the midst of the heat and humidity, our rhododendron is suddenly a riot of blooms and frothy color! The lilacs and their heady scent have nearly all gone past, but now the mock orange is pouring its perfume in our bedroom window. Along with that distinctive spicy, floral scent comes the constant sound of bees buzzing!
Lots of bees buzzing - everywhere!

I have always not been able to pronounce that flower's name! Such beautiful pictures - it's so pretty where you live!
Very beautiful!
Hi Ronnie -
I used to pronounce it with an "m" at the end until I realized it was an "n". Then I spent a long time having to think before I spoke. I finally decided that if I saw a beautiful Rhododend"ron" I would "run" to look at it. That finally did the trick!
We are lucky to live here and it is lovely. But I'll be happier when our roof is replaced (soon!) and then we can finally paint our house. Until then I'll keep focusing on the prettiest details!
