V - O - T - R

Tomorrow, as Keith Olbermann pointed out, is “V - O - T - R Day”. Presidential primaries take place in four more states: Vermont, Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island - hence VOTR. The polls indicate that the race is especially tight in Ohio and Texas between Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton. In Vermont, Senator Obama appears to have the lead. While in Rhode Island, Senator Clinton seems to have the edge. That means, if you are registered to vote in one of the VOTR states, it’s very important that you head out to the polls and cast your ballot tomorrow.

You know who I hope you vote for. I believe Senator Obama is the right person to lead the United States out of the darkness of the last seven plus years of the Bush administration. I believe when Senator Obama becomes President, he will help us to reach back as a nation to the powerful values this country was founded on, while inspiring us to be even better than we ever have been before.

Turn HOPE into reality. VOTE!

Do you have elections coming up next year by any chance ??? The press over here is being whipped into a frenzy, so much so that by the time they have finished reporting on the USA primaries, there is hardly enough time to get a funny in on the end of the bulletin.

If only they took so much interest in our own.... barmy ;o)

I have been watching CNN a lot lately as I find USA poltics interesting. It is especially exciting this time round with Obama and Clinton either one being a first for the USA. I saw Obama won Vermont so you must have been very happy. Cheers Nana Fi

Hi Roo -
Ummm, gee, maybe we have some elections coming up sometime....
OMG!
It's non-stop and around the clock over here. So sorry to have inflicted it on you folks as well.
But hopefully it will help other countries to realize just how many ordinary U.S. citizens desperately want change - and we want it NOW!

Hi Fiona -
The world is a small one isn't it?
We were very happy for Obama's win in Vermont.
But Clinton's win in Rhode Island made a couple of my relatives very happy, so that makes it O.K.!
