Three Seasons, One Photo

Summer green, brown autumn leaves and white winter snow - we’ve had it all this week. Temperatures have ranged from balmy 60s (19 C) to frigid teens (-9 C). The race to get ready for Thanksgiving came to a happy conclusion. Now there is a brief lull before the next cascade of holidays. Then the slow, cold months of the beginning of the new year bring us the chance to recharge, a bit of hibernation, before our thoughts turn to spring planting and summer trips. The four seasons we have here in New England bring such rich rhythm to our lives.

SNOW? you get snow? So unfair - I have to drive miles for snow, most of it is man made and it's covered in stupid skiers. I do so envy your 4 proper seasons, we only sort of have them here in Sydney. I miss home (Canberra) where we have 4 seasons, so much better to track the passing of time I think.

Hey DMM -
Four seasons (including the ones by Vivaldi) are really quite wonderful!
I looked up Sydney to Canberra on Google Maps and they seem to be more than three hours apart. That is quite a distance to get to where your heart wants to be.
I'll post photos of the snow as it blows up around here. Hopefully those pics will cool you down, while your summer photos will warm us up!

Lee,

You have a wonderful way with photography; spare and elegant!
The old 'less is more' vibe.

I truly miss the Four Seasons, both environmentally and musically.

Today, I go to the library and borrow a CD of Vivaldi's songs.

Peace,
