September 11th

It was a day unlike today, with sun, blue skies and white clouds. Stunningly beautiful, yet completely ordinary, as people went about their normal routines; getting kids ready for school and heading off to work. Then, the ordinariness was shattered. First, we thought it was a terrible accident. But before we had a chance to absorb it all, shock turned to horror, then a cascade of feelings as the day turned into night, followed by more days, upon days.

Who could ever forget such a sad day in our world's history. Today I think of all those families who have by now moved on but still wear the scars, and are the true heroes of the story. Ronnie x

I am, again, so behind with my blogging. My thoughts were with all Americans, and indeed all humanity, on the 11th. Such a deeply tragic, planned killing and destroying of so many wonderful people and families. I remember the day so clearly, as I think most of us do. After hearing the news on the radio, we put our little TV on at work and watched as the first tower fumed. We witnessed live as the second building was hit. It still gives me the chills...
