
Well, it’s really a photograph of the empty test of a Green Sea Urchin
(Strongylocentrotus drobachiensis). This one had come to rest at low tide, in a slight eddy which had formed between two examples of Maine granite. We returned home from Maine just one week ago yesterday. It was a great trip. But it feels as if it were at least a month ago.

Yes, the pink granite is on the left and I believe the granite on the bottom right is called salmon granite.
