Thanksgiving

The day started out wrapped in fog, but by late morning the scene above is what we enjoyed. Here in Greater Seattle it’s still Wednesday, but back home it’s tipped over into Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating in the United States. Best wishes for peace and prosperity to everyone around the globe.

This is a holiday I really wish we had down under.

Hi DMM -
Well, you'll just have to start celebrating in sympathy with us. Sort of "World Peace Achieved via Thanksgiving Around the World" - or at least really good food shared!
Thanks!

I hope your holiday went well Lee! We had a great time out by the Quabin with family.

I'm up late for the shopping madness the day after Thanksgiving. Why do we do this to ourselves? I am in charge of making coffee and making sure the Mom's of the house are up and out the door by three in the freakin morning? Then I get to sleep.

I haven't had a chance to check anyone's blogs this week. Work has been like a circus. Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving, I'm sure it will be a happy time. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in SA, but I think it's a very meaningful holiday and one that must make you really sit and think about all the things that are so often over-looked, but that we have to be so very grateful for. Thinking of you all - please have a drink on us!! Can't wait for all your news!

Hi Papamoka -
Oh my goodness! Ever since Chuck read your comment, he has been telling everyone about your devotion to all the ladies in your family! Hope you managed to get some good sleep and the bargains were plentiful!

Hi Sue -
Thanks for the good wishes! We had a lot of fun and a lot of laughter over at Chuck's sister's house for Thanksgiving dinner. We also lifted a glass of sparkling cider in Dad's honor at his bedside earlier in the afternoon. You're right. We have so much to be grateful for.
