For the first time since May of 2005, we paid under two dollars a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. We bought it for $1.959 a gallon at the BJ’s Wholesale Club gas station in Leominster (off 2 & 12).
On a related subject: we have yet to receive our first home heating oil delivery this autumn. But with the current price of oil, we sure think we made the right decision not to lock in over the summer. Fingers crossed...

$2!!! One gallon converts to 3.78541178 litres. We're paying ZAR9.17/l, which is ZAR34.7122 per gallon. That's approx $3.542(converted at $1.00 = ZAR9.80)... Hmmm... And we're all pretty excited 'cos the price of petrol (gas?) has come down quite a bit recently...
Hi Sue -
Wow! Thanks for all the conversions. You really gave your math brain cells a workout!
And it was an eye-opener for us.
For decades, we've been spoiled here in the States by inexpensive gasoline/petrol. But that has also stalled our getting much more energy efficient vehicles on the road - including all electrics!
Thanks!
