ELECTION DAY!!!

If you did not participate in Early Voting, go to the polls and VOTE!

To be on the safe side, do not wear political garb - or be sure to bring a jacket to cover it up. In some states it it is considered “electioneering” which is not allowed within the polling place.

To be on the safe side, bring a form of identification with you. According to the Help America Vote Act: “There are two approved forms of ID -- photo and non-photo. Any current and valid government-issued photo identification fulfills the photo ID requirement. A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document with the name and address of the voter fulfills the non-photo ID.”

Bring a friend or family member or neighbor to the polls.

Bring your sense of humor and your patience!

If you have any problems voting call the Election Protection Hotline:
1 (866) OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683).
The Election Protection website has a wealth of voter information.

And here is some advice from Rachel Maddow of MSNBC and Air America:

Today is the day!
Turn HOPE into reality. VOTE!

I’m squirming with anticipation! My fingers are crossed.
I do hope you chaps have sausage sizzles at your polling booths - they make the wait easier by far ;)

Hi Lee,

Aproximately 16 hours of nervousness has already begun for us.

I truly hope that everyone gets out and vote!

We'll be bringing extra bottles of water and muffins to pass out at our local polling place.

Peace,

Dear Ronnie, Sue, Roo, Wendy & Morgan,
Thank you for your kind and enthusiastic international support and encouragement!!!
It means the world to me and to Chuck as well!

Dear George,
What a wonderful idea!
Our town is so tiny we don't expect long lines.
Although perhaps muffins and sausage sizzles would keep voter turnout high!

We're headed to the polls shortly and Chuck, as a registered Democrat, will be working from 2:00 pm to closing. Then he is also scheduled to count until everything tallies and the results are clear.

I hope that the results from Dixville Notch, New Hampshire (where they vote "first in the nation" every year) of Obama-Biden 15, McCain-Palin 6 are a portent of things to come!!!

;o)
- Lee

Live your values.
Love your country.
VOTE!
