Fish Pie, II

Tonight, I made a Fish Pie, inspired by the Jamie Oliver Fish Pie, from last Friday’s Fish Pie Post. (Did I mention it was a Fish Pie?) I was missing the smoked fish, which I will definitely add next time. Yet even without that, it tasted great. I say inspired, because, well, by now, you know how I cook! But Jamie’s recipe is very forgiving and flexible. Heavens to Murgatroyd, it was delicious!

P.S. I totally layered it!

  3. I know, how could you eat a pie with little fishies looking right at you?
ps - I cover the heads of whole fish with a napkin whenever I'm served one, I can't bear that unseeing baneful look.

  4. Oh my....here I had the smoked salmon....you could have used that. Instead I made a smoke salmon, poached pear and blue cheese salad...will post that later this week. Love your blog....took a very brief tour...

  7. Hi Roo -
Nope! I am constitutionally unable to do that with this recipe!
I happily dump ingredients into salads and soups and so on, but this just works better in my mind if it is more "organized"!
