Call me cranky or grumpy - both might well be true today - but I still dislike the entire concept of daylight saving time. Tonight we have to “spring ahead” an hour. Here’s
my post from last spring which sums up my feelings. Hmmm.... I guess that link means you can call me lazy too!
Thank goodness they haven't introduced this on our corner of the globe yet. There was talk about it, but I think it received so much negative feedback, that they've just dropped the subject all together.
ReplyDeletei really hate the whole spring forward, fall back thing, but it was so nice to look out the window last night and see daylight and then realize it was 7:00 pm.
ReplyDeleteI too wish we could just roll with the natural seasons but I guess most city folk just don't get it, and want their day light at the end of the day when they can actually use it.
ReplyDeleteHi All -
ReplyDeleteSue, I think you folks are lucky it didn't catch on. Good thing the citizens spoke out against it.
B2B, I too like the light in the evenings, but I'm still willing to wait for it to come gradually, a few minutes a day at a time...
DMM, it's funny you should mention city folks. It was a man in England who started all this, because he was upset residents of London were sleeping during much of the sunny part of the morning.
;o)
