Which is another name for a liquor store. For a long time, a package store was the only place you could buy hard liquor, wine and beer.

Language can be such a minefield. I never know when something I post here is going to go "Boom!"
;o)Pink Granitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14868107997163851415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2377770292502261148.post-6860181292795651232008-06-29T18:19:00.000-04:002008-06-29T18:19:00.000-04:00Hey Lee - I love Kahlua, much nicer than Tia Maria...Hey Lee - I love Kahlua, much nicer than Tia Maria, hoever you will need to explain the bit about " a couple of packies"???? you won't believe what it means over here! But I doubt we'll be able to find them around here!

The first mixed drink I ever had was at a cousin's wedding. Someone brought me a "Sombrero" - basically milk and cream mixed with coffee liqueur. It's basically a milkshake made with vanilla ice cream, cream and some Kahlua OR Amarula (proudly South African liqueur that is rich and creamy, but with a subtle fruity flavour) OR whiskey. Good luck in your search... Hugs,xxPinky's Pageshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11223204448387924885noreply@blogger.com
